FAQ

Common questions about the Helicopter

Single-engine or twin-engine for VIP transfer?
Both are safe for the missions we book. Single-engine (H130) is quieter, cheaper by 30 to 40 percent, and preferred for overland routes. Twin-engine (H145, Bell 429, AW139) is required for many overwater missions, offshore installations, elevated helipads, and IFR operations. Ask JetAlto and we'll match the aircraft to the route.
How long does a helicopter charter take to arrange?
Typical positioning is 2 to 4 hours from a first quote. For city-to-airport transfers on well-served routes (New York, London, Nice, Monaco) same-day service is common.
Baggage limits?
Roughly 200 to 800 L depending on the helicopter. Bulky items (ski bags, golf clubs) fit on all four types with cabin loading.
Can I book a helicopter and jet together?
Yes, this is a common request. We coordinate the helicopter leg with the jet arrival slot so wheels-down transfers are seamless.
Pet policy?
Small pets in carriers are welcome on private helicopter charter; specific operator policies vary. Confirm at time of quote.
