Market notes
On chartering from Marrakech
Marrakech is one of the strongest single-flight destinations from Europe and the Gulf. A 3,100 m ILS Cat II runway at 1,545 ft elevation means that even on a hot summer day a heavy or ultra-long-range jet leaves RAK at maximum takeoff weight without penalty, and the airport's 24/7 operation gives you a genuinely flexible booking window compared with the daylight-only altiports of the Alps.
The airport experience matters as much as the flight. Menara's ONDA VIP salon handles private movements separately from the main terminal, with customs and immigration on site and the ability to process arrivals in a private room. Walk-up processing is possible, but slot coordination and handler pre-notification make the difference between a 10-minute clearance and a longer wait during peak windows.
Season shapes the market more than route length. Christmas and New Year drive one wave; October fashion week and the November to December Film Festival drive another; and spring and autumn shoulder windows are the sweet spot for value on Paris, London, Madrid, and Geneva corridors. Northbound repositioning legs are where flexible dates cut costs the most, particularly the Sunday to Tuesday windows after peak weekends.
Ground logistics into the medina require the local knowledge your riad staff will provide. RAK to the medina is about 15 minutes by road, but the narrow lanes mean the last hundred metres are marshalled and, in some cases, on foot. We build that final-mile detail into the itinerary so late arrivals and heavy luggage do not turn into a problem at midnight.
