Private Jet Charter from Tashkent

Business aviation in Tashkent moved address in 2026. Since 17 February 2026 charter flights have been required to file Tashkent-Humo (UZTP), the dedicated business and government aviation airport in the Yashnobod district, rather than Islam Karimov Tashkent International. The main field remains the fallback and the scheduled hub, with runways of 4,000 m and 3,905 m and traffic near 10 million passengers.

Tashkent-Humo, also called Tashkent-Vostochny or Tashkent-East, is identified as TVT/UZTP by Business Air News. Uzbekistan Airways describes a dedicated business and government aviation airport with VIP services and aircraft handling. The permanent notice effective 17 February 2026 directs incoming charter flight applications and flight plans here instead of TAS/UZTT. Confirm the actual departure permissions, current runway data and passenger meeting point with the operator; airport size does not establish aircraft performance approval.

Two runways, 08L/26R at 4,000 m by 60 m and 08R/26L at 3,905 m by 60 m, at an elevation of 432 m. Both meet international standards for wide-body operations. The international and domestic terminals sit on opposite sides of the runway, so transfers between them mean leaving and re-entering the airport, which is a real planning point for mixed itineraries. Terminal 2 handles international traffic with CIP and VIP halls. Uzbekistan's ICAO codes were reassigned and the airport is published as UZTT in current sources while legacy databases still carry UTTT, so both appear on flight plans and permit paperwork. Traffic reached 8,716,526 passengers in 2024 and about 9.99 million in 2025. Since 17 February 2026 business aviation charter flights have been directed to Tashkent-Humo instead, so TAS is now the scheduled hub and the alternate rather than the default private arrival.

Empty legs

Repositioning flights from Tashkent

Tashkent empty-leg supply comes almost entirely from aircraft positioning in and out of the city rather than from a based fleet. The corridors that generate them are Dubai, Almaty, Moscow and Istanbul, which are also the sectors with the most on-demand traffic. Because Uzbekistan has no large local charter fleet, legs tend to appear at short notice when an aircraft has delivered inbound and needs to reposition, and the useful ones are usually outbound to the Gulf. Flexible dates on Dubai and Almaty produce the biggest savings against on-demand pricing.

FAQ

Charter from Tashkent, questions we get

Which airport do private jets use in Tashkent?
Tashkent-Humo (UZTP), the dedicated business and government aviation airport in the Yashnobod district, which business charter flights have been required to file as destination since 17 February 2026. Islam Karimov Tashkent International (TAS) remains the scheduled hub and the practical alternate, with CIP and VIP halls in Terminal 2.
How long are the runways at Tashkent?
At the main airport, runway 08L/26R is 4,000 m by 60 m and 08R/26L is 3,905 m by 60 m, and at Humo the single runway 08/26 is published at 3,240 m by 60 m. All support wide-body operations, so no business jet is restricted, although the 432 m field elevation and summer heat affect performance planning on long sectors.
Is there an FBO in Tashkent?
Humo has purpose-built VIP and CIP terminals with their own access roads, completed in 2025. On the main field there is no Western-style FBO and handling runs through Uzbekistan Airways and approved local agents. Jetex has signed a memorandum with the Ministry of Transport to develop full FBO facilities with MRO and aircraft storage at the Vostochny site that became Humo.
How busy is Tashkent airport?
It handled 8,716,526 passengers and 34,789 flights in 2024, up 28 percent year on year, and about 9.99 million passengers in 2025. Uzbekistan's airports together carried 13.5 million passengers in 2024.
What does Tashkent to Moscow cost on a private jet?
Use the route cards on this page and the linked route guide for the published aircraft category, one-way whole-aircraft range and stated currency. These are planning examples, not live offers or per-person fares. A different aircraft, direction, date, positioning requirement or connecting transfer can change the total. The enquiry form gives a separate EUR calculation for your inputs; confirm the actual aircraft, taxes, handling, transfers and total in a written quote.
Can Western operators fly Tashkent to Moscow?
Generally no. EU, UK and US measures restrict flights connected to Russian persons and entities, and operators in those jurisdictions keep their aircraft out of Russian airspace. The aircraft on this corridor are Uzbek, Russian or CIS based.
How far is the airport from the city centre?
For Tashkent-Humo, Business Air News reports a typical transfer of approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Treat that as a planning guide, not a guaranteed journey time. Confirm your actual address, traffic allowance and the private terminal entrance with the handler. Humo and TAS are different airports; do not send the driver to the main airline terminal by default. Business Air News: Tashkent-Humo gateway and airport codes
Which aircraft suit departures from Tashkent in summer?
The field is at 432 m and summer temperatures are high, so density altitude matters. On long sectors a heavy jet is often specified where a super-midsize would do the same distance from a cooler, lower field.
Market notes

On chartering from Tashkent

Tashkent has become one of the fastest-growing airports in the former Soviet Union. Passenger numbers went from 6.8 million in 2023 to 8,716,526 in 2024, a 28 percent jump, and to about 9.99 million in 2025, with flights up around 15 percent. Two runways of 4,000 m and 3,905 m handle anything in service, and a merged terminal complex designed for 2,400 passengers an hour has been in planning to replace the split arrangement where international and domestic buildings sit on opposite sides of the runway.

Business aviation has just been given its own airport. Tashkent-Vostochny reopened as Tashkent-Humo on 27 August 2025 after a rebuild covering the runway, three taxiways, the apron and new VIP and CIP terminals across a 561 hectare site, and since 17 February 2026 charter operators have been required by permanent NOTAM to file Humo rather than the main airport. Runway 08/26 is published at 3,240 m and rated PCN 42/R/A/X/T, which accepts An-124 and Il-76 class aircraft, so nothing in business aviation is constrained. Transfer time to the centre is 25 to 30 minutes.

The route pattern splits three ways. Short domestic and regional sectors to Samarkand, Bukhara, Almaty and Bishkek sit comfortably in light jets. Dubai and Doha are the volume long sectors, flown on super-midsize and heavy aircraft. And Moscow has grown into a significant corridor since 2022, with Uzbek and Russian operators carrying traffic that used to move through European hubs. Tashkent is one of the CIS cities that has absorbed that redirected demand.

Anything touching Russia is handled differently here. We quote those sectors case by case, subject to full sanctions and KYC screening, and the operators flying them are generally Uzbek, Russian or other CIS based rather than EU or US based. EASA advises against operating in Russian airspace west of 60 degrees East at all flight levels, and aircraft that work Russian sectors are kept out of EU, UK and US rotations afterwards, which is why pricing on the Moscow corridor does not track normal per-hour benchmarks.
