Tashkent to Moscow by class

2,791 km north-west is a four hour sector that a super-midsize covers direct and a heavy jet covers direct with margin. The margin matters twice here: Tashkent sits at 432 m elevation with hot summer afternoons, which costs take-off performance, and the routing across Kazakhstan and into the Moscow FIR is not a straight line in practice. Beyond that, eligibility rather than range determines what can actually be quoted on a given date.

Midsize jet
Midsize jet
Direct only with a light load and favourable winds, and less reliable in summer when density altitude at Tashkent bites. Most operators plan a stop, commonly Aktau, Atyrau or Nur-Sultan. Once the stop, handling and extra crew time are counted, the saving against a super-midsize is usually smaller than the headline difference suggests.

Super-midsize
Super-midsize
Direct with reserves in normal conditions. The efficient answer for four to eight passengers, with the caveat that a full cabin on a hot Tashkent afternoon should be checked against the performance figures rather than assumed. Early morning departures are the standard fix when a full cabin and a hot afternoon collide.

Recommended. Direct with routing and performance margin, and a stand-up cabin that earns its place on a four hour leg. This is the class most commonly flown on the corridor by Uzbek and CIS operators. It also absorbs the extra track miles that a Kazakh or Caspian reroute adds without a technical stop appearing in the plan on the day.

For larger parties or when the aircraft continues elsewhere from Moscow. Range is not the reason to book it on this sector; availability and cabin size are. Uzbek, Russian and Gulf operators all place aircraft on the corridor, and the quote will reflect where the airframe came from and where it is committed next.

Tashkent departures

TVT
Tashkent-Humo International Airport

The mandatory filing destination for business aviation charter flights to Tashkent since 17 February 2026 under a permanent NOTAM, replacing the main international airport for such operations. Formerly Tashkent-Vostochny, reopened under the Humo name on 27 August 2025 after a rebuild of the runway, three taxiways, the apron and new VIP and CIP terminals. Runway 08/26 is published at 3,240 m by 60 m at PCN 42/R/A/X/T and takes An-124 and Il-76 class aircraft, so no business jet is constrained. Transfer to the centre runs 25 to 30 minutes.

Purpose-built VIP and CIP terminals completed in 2025, with separate access roads and no transit through main passenger buildings
TAS
Islam Karimov Tashkent International

The scheduled hub and the practical alternate, 12 km from the centre, with runways 08L/26R at 4,000 m by 60 m and 08R/26L at 3,905 m by 60 m at 432 m elevation. Terminal 2 has CIP and VIP halls and handling is coordinated through Uzbekistan Airways and approved agents. Since February 2026 charter flights are directed to Humo instead, so TAS is used where a specific operational reason requires it.

Moscow arrivals

VKO
Moscow Vnukovo

The default business-aviation arrival for Moscow. Two intersecting runways, 06/24 at 3,500 m with ILS CAT II and 01/19 at 3,060 m with ILS CAT I. Vnukovo-3, operated by VIPPORT, is one of the largest dedicated business-aviation centres in Europe, with roughly 560,000 sq m of apron and capacity for about 150 aircraft.

SVO
Moscow Sheremetyevo

Terminal A, run by A-Group, is the second real business-aviation FBO in Moscow, about 30 minutes from the centre via the M-11 with its own hangars and de-icing. The sensible choice when the passenger's destination is north of the city.

OSF
Ostafyevo International Business Airport

Gazpromavia's business airport south of Moscow, runway 08/26 at 2,058 m by 48 m with PCN 24, which suits midsize and lighter heavy aircraft rather than a fully loaded Global arriving with fuel for a diversion. International throughput is 40 passengers per hour. Useful when Vnukovo-3 parking is full.

FAQ

Common questions on this route

How long is the flight from Tashkent to Moscow by private jet?
About 4h 00m direct on a heavy jet and 4h 05m on a super-midsize. A midsize aircraft can do it direct with a light load in favourable winds, but most operators plan a fuel stop, commonly in western Kazakhstan. Add time for Moscow terminal-area restrictions on arrival.
Can Western operators fly Tashkent to Moscow?
Generally no. EU, UK and US measures restrict flights connected to Russian persons and entities, and operators based in those jurisdictions keep their fleets out of Russian airspace. The aircraft that fly this corridor are Uzbek, Russian, CIS or Middle East based, which limits availability on any given date.
What does Tashkent to Moscow cost?
Super-midsize aircraft run 48,000 to 62,000 USD one way and heavy jets 58,000 to 78,000. The eligible fleet is small and insurance treatment varies, so pricing on this corridor is less stable than on comparable four hour sectors elsewhere.
Which Moscow airport do private jets use?
Vnukovo (VKO), specifically the Vnukovo-3 business aviation centre run by VIPPORT, which is the largest facility of its kind in Russia. Sheremetyevo Terminal A, run by A-Group, and Ostafyevo (OSF) are the practical alternates, and Domodedovo has a business aviation centre operated by UTG Private Aviation.
Is Russian airspace safe to fly into?
EASA advises against operating in Russian airspace west of 60 degrees East at all flight levels, a recommendation first issued in January 2025 and since extended into 2027. On this routing the aircraft crosses that meridian over western Kazakhstan, so the last part of the sector and the whole Moscow terminal area sit inside the area covered. Operators still flying do so under their own risk assessments.
What about insurance?
War-risk cover for Russian destinations is restricted and some underwriters decline it. Any quote should state explicitly what cover is in place, and that is worth establishing before comparing prices between operators.
Which Tashkent airport does a charter use?
Tashkent-Humo (UZTP), the dedicated business and government aviation airport in the Yashnobod district, which business charter flights have been required to file as destination since 17 February 2026 under a permanent NOTAM. Islam Karimov Tashkent International remains the scheduled hub and the alternate. Confirm with the operator that the filing has been updated, because an itinerary still built around TAS will need reworking before the flight plan goes in.
Why is this corridor growing?
Because Central Asia absorbed demand that used to move through European hubs. European destinations fell from 35 to 40 percent of Russian international charter traffic to 5 to 8 percent by 2025, while Tashkent's own scheduled traffic grew 28 percent in 2024 to 8,716,526 passengers and reached about 9.99 million in 2025. More traffic on a fleet that has not grown at the same rate is why availability tightens around holidays.
