Single asphalt runway 18/36. The Thai AIP publishes declared distances of 3,400 m TORA on runway 18 and 3,100 m on runway 36, both 45 m wide, with 3,100 m LDA in each direction. Aerodrome elevation is 316 m (1,036 ft) with a reference temperature of 36 degrees C, which matters for hot-and-high performance planning on long departures. Operated by Airports of Thailand. Traffic was 8,224,573 passengers and 55,663 aircraft movements in 2023, rising to 9,082,071 passengers and 59,493 movements in 2024. Fuel is Jet A-1 via hydrant system with H24 fuelling, plus a 3,000 L AVGAS trailer. The AIP lists no hangar space for visiting aircraft and no published noise-abatement procedure. Ground handling agents named in the AIP are Thai Airways International, BAGS Ground Services, Chiang Mai Ground Handling Services, HS Aviation and Thai Ground Handling. MJets, Thailand's IS-BAO and IS-BAH Stage 3 FBO operator, publishes its Thai FBO at Don Mueang only and states it can provide ground handling across Thailand; it does not list a Chiang Mai station. No dedicated branded FBO at CNX was confirmed from a primary source.
